Lynwood's Like a Hurricane (Samson)

2011

Laurel gained 2 legs towards her MASTER HUNTER. 

Baron gained his JUNIOR HUNTER title at the very young age of 9 months and his WORKING CERTIFICATE INTERMEDIATE title at 11 months.  Heather Stewart, his well known judge for the WCI commented, "that is a very fine animal".  Sure enough, this boy is showing special talent as well as being conformationally lovely and a tremendous personality to boot.  Watch this boy! 2010

We are very pleased to welcome STERRE TEXAS TYCOON AT LYNWOOD 'Baron' to our family.  Baron comes from Shelly Blom of Sterre Goldens and is the result of a superb combination of established English and American multipurpose lines. 

Jessie, our BEST PUPPY IN SHOW winner at the Canadian Golden Retriever National Specialty in July, received her Working Certificate at the OVGRC test in September.  She did a lovely job of bringing back the "chicken" on land and water and showed an impressive curiosity about the gunners! She is now Lynwood's Fair Maid of Perth BPIS WC.  She has ended our season on a fun and happy note.  We will now focus on obedience.

Laurel received her SENIOR HUNTER title at Brighton, Ontario.  She was one of only 3 who passed a tough test out of 13.  Beauty and Brains!

GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB OF CANADA NATIONAL SPECIALTY and VALLEY

We are thrilled to announce that at the Canadian Golden Retriever National Specialty 2010 held in Stratford, Ontario, Jessie (Lynwood's Fair Maid of Perth) won Best Puppy in Show under judge Carol Gilbert. Jessie went on to win Best Puppy both days she was entered at the Valley show in Lombardy. 

Her mom, Laurel's Meadowlark at Lynwood, came 4th in her class of 22 girls at the Specialty plus won her WCX field title.  Great few days for Lynwood Goldens

"A top class pale cream puppy who carries herself very well, just flows on the move and presents an excellent outline standing. She has a very pretty head and all her angles in the right place. Well sprung ribs and short couplings. I really liked her and she was in real contention in the Winners Challenge today, only maturity holding her back.  I’m sure in time she will trouble the best. Best Puppy in Breed"

"Well handled by her very young handler this pretty blond lady impressed on the move; I see she is the mother of my Best Puppy and she has definitely passed this on to her daughter.  She also has a strong level topline and an appealing head, but like 3, her coat was not at its best today."
