High Points

2009 has been fun in our new home just outside Perth, Ontario.  Just half way through the summer and in addition to getting settled and continuing our field work, Laurel gained her CD obedience title and we are planning her first litter for the fall.  Denis Saumure continues his success with Falco, Laurel's brother, in the show ring with two Winners Dog titles and a reserve.  Falco's daughter Opus has blown everyone away by winning several Best Puppies and two Best Puppies in Group.

See pics below.

Lynwood's Gyrfalcon at Belcanto (Falco)

Belcanto Opus 2 Of Sirius (Opus)

2008 was a quiet year as we looked for and found a home in the country.  Laurel still managed to land her Junior Hunter and WCI and in limited showing, Kerry pulled off a Best of Opposite and some more points towards her championship.  We will working towards our Senior Hunter next year as well as hitting a few more shows.

2007 was a good year for Lynwood Goldens.  Lynwood's Gyrfalcon at Belcanto, (Falco) was owner handled by Denis Saumure of Belcanto Golden Retrievers in Calgary, Alberta to a placement at the American National Specialty that took place in Seattle, Washington in September.  This is an exceptional achievement and we are looking forward to watching Falco's career in the future.

Judge's Comments:

"Very English Style.  Very nice English style head.  Would have been the soundest English dog that was here today.  Moved nicely.  Given another 18 months to two years, this dog will do a lot of winning.  Nice topline.  Very balanced.  Moved very fluidly."

Falco's sister, our own Laurel's Meadowlark at Lynwood (Laurel) also placed in both of her classes at the Canadian National Specialty in Montreal, Quebec in July.  We were very pleased as this girl also exhibits the classic Golden temperament plus the desire to work in the field.

As well, our beautiful Abnalls Edison, TDI, received Reserve in the Open class at the Canadian National Specialty.  This was a huge honour for us.

Our working achievements were not left behind as, in addition to her show ribbons, Laurel obtained her WC Intermediate for her field work while her mother, Castlerock Shimmering Star (Kerry) received her WC Excellent at her one and only trial of the season.
